We all have that one show on Netflix that we are absolutely OBSESSED with. Sometimes, it might cause us to stay up during the late hours of the night because of how attached we are to it. Here are the stages of how one becomes emotionally involved in a Netflix Show.
The "Eh" Stage
After about two episodes into the show, you may find yourself in a sticky situation where you're bored and don't know if you want to continue watching or not. Your peers who recommended the show to you may advise you by saying, "Oh, it gets better after Episode # (blank)." You take their advice and continue to watch it.
The Social Media Stalking Stage
It might start to occur to you that you love said Netflix show so much that you want to know everything about the cast members' lives outside of their characters. You follow them on twitter, Instagram, and any other form of social media. You then pick your favorite character from that show and take online quizzes such as "Which character from (insert show) are you?" and will continue to take that quiz until you get your favorite character.
The "I'm annoying everyone" Stage
Your Netflix show obsession has now caused you to know the show inside-out. You will come across situations in life where you can respond to anything with quotes from your favorite show. Your friends will find it annoying, people may look at you weirdly, or you may find someone who knows exactly what you're talking about and think it's hilarious; but it will all be okay in the end.
The Finale
You have reached the final episode of said show, congratulations? That might not be the best thing to say to someone when their favorite show is coming to an end. People prepare for this moment in different ways, whether it's ordering take-out and watching it with your friends, or bringing out a box of tissues and watching it on your own; either way, it will be one emotional ride.
The Aftermath
People will start to ask you, "What are you going to watch now?" Well, some people might have their next show planned out; but if you are a true fanatic of this show, you will need a few days, maybe even a few weeks to recover. You may find yourself wanting to restart the entire show. Although your show has come to an end, it will still remain in your heart and the characters that were involved in it will have impacted your life forever.
