Don't Worry, This Dog Will Save You From An Avalanche If You Get Stuck In One

This is Mason. He's adorably cute-but that's not all. He's also an avalanche dog.

Mason's job is to find people who may have been lost in an avalanche. Or, as Mason thinks of it, his job is to play hide-and-seek in the snow every day.

Mason uses his fantastic nose to detect people buried in the snow, then he digs down to them and pops his head in to say hello.

Mason loves finding people. His handlers say that his tail goes stiff when the scent gets strong, and when breaks through the snow his tail wags in a circle because he's so pleased.

Mason practices rescuing people almost every day to keep his skills up.

Mason is only two years old, which means he could be rescuing people for a long time to come.
